Easy Chinese Roast Duck

Soy sauce, sherry, and honey give this roast duck a Chinese/Asian flavor and the preparation method and long slow cooking result in a crispy skin.

Easy Chinese Duck Ingredients
- One (4 or 5 pound) Duck, split in half
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup of sherry
- MSG (in original recipe but optional)

Easy Chinese Duck Instructions
ABOUT 24 HOURS BEFORE ROASTING: Mix the honey, soy sauce and sherry until blended. Sprinkle the duck halves with MSG (if you are using it) and marinate the duck in the sauce overnight.
ABOUT 3 HOURS BEFORE SERVING: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Prick the duck skin all over with the tines of a fork. this allows much of the fat to run out resulting in a more crispy skin. Bake the duck at 325 degrees for about 2.5 hours.
