Onion Soup Pot Roast

The recipe for this popular pot roast made with dried onion soup and chuck roast was first published by the Lipton soup company in 195?.

Ingredients
- 1 chuck roast
- 2 pkgs of Lipton dry onion soup mix (now Knorr/Lipton)
- Heavy aluminum foil

Instructions
On a sheet of heavy foil large enough to wrap the roast, sprinkle one package of onion soup mix. Put roast on top and sprinkle with the other package of soup mix. Place in a 325 degree F oven and cook 2-1/2 to 3 hours, or until roast is fork tender.
